The principle purpose of the Area Human Resources Manageris for overseeing the human resources function within his/her assigned markets in order to drive change management, employee engagement, workforce management, performance management, talent development and succession planning.



This position manages Store HR Managers who are responsible for delivering human resources functions within their store. The Area Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing and providing results that support strategic, creative, and collaborative leadership across their region.



To accomplish this, the Area Human Resources Manager must have knowledge of human resources functions; human resources policies, strategies and environment; and human resources laws and regulations. An individual in this role must also have the ability to inspire and influence others to achieve company goals.


The Area Human Resources Manager works closely with market staff, Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, and HR Managers in order to align HR strategy with market business plans and help stores implement within their specific location.


Core Responsibilities:
Manages designated work stream to meet customer and business needs by translating business plans into tactical action items; communicating goals and objectives; overseeing work assignments; aligning team efforts; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; assuming responsibility for decision making.

Pursues professional growth and provides developmental opportunities for others by soliciting and acting on performance feedback; building collaborative, cross-functional relationships; hiring, training, and developing talent for growth opportunities; delegating tasks and decisions; fostering open dialogue amongst team members; working closely with employees to set goals and provide open feedback and coaching to drive performance improvement
