Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that multiple equipment types (conveyor systems, forklifts and powered equipment, and yard trucks) within the Regional Distribution Center are fully operational. The incumbent supervises a high performing team that is capable of analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing broken equipment as well as performing preventive maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Supervisor works with the Maintenance Manager and contractors to coordinate new construction and facilities repair work, all while ensuring that it is completed in compliance with federal and local regulations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
 *Achieve or exceed key performance indicators, safety, performance and budget targets.
 *Fix equipment breakdowns to minimize impact to distribution center performance.
 *Prioritize work in accordance with business priorities: Sorter Preventative Maintenance (PM) requests and repairs, yard truck PMs and repairs, and projects with highest priorities.
 *Monitor staffing needs for shift and adjust work to be accomplished on the shift according to available resources and skill sets; assign mechanics to jobs and supervise their work.
 *Complete scheduled tasks and implement projects by due date.
 *Maintain skill level of team in multiple crafts, such as, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, automotive, welding, etc.
 *Perform work in a safe manner and ensure tasks are completed per requirements (Lock Out/Tag Out and other safety policies, etc).
 *Ensure the maintenance staff completes 100% of PMs as scheduled.

Required Qualifications: Proven record for complying with safety requirements, and ability to build a culture of safety among subordinates and peers. Proven leadership and supervisory experience. Successfully manages multiple tasks simultaneously Manages resources, time and budgets. Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated team-building skills. Ability to build rapport and trust with others. Experience and willingness to mentor and coach others. Ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts among team members. Monitors others process to ensure quality; takes responsibility for quality. High school diploma or GED equivalent with work experience in Maintenance, and significant leadership experience.
