Excellent opportunity for a skilled HR professional who is looking to provide HR leadership and support to a large and dynamic workforce. The HR Generalist/Coach is a leadership role within the Distribution Center and is responsible for all Human Resource functions on the designated shift. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities, but will partner with Operations leaders on a daily basis. Previous Human Resources experience is required in order to be considered for this position.

This position is for the Night Shift.
Approximate schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-5:00am

Responsibilities include: • Provide professional HR guidance to managers and supervisors, and provide HR support to 200+ hourly employees. • Provide and promote positive employee relations, effectively respond to employee inquiries, and be actively involved in resolving issues and concerns. • Respond to hiring needs and hourly staffing including reviewing applications, conducting interviews, assessing skills, and conducting pre-employment screenings per Lowe's employment guidelines. • Conduct new hire Orientation classes and ensure all required training is completed for employees. • Perform a variety of HRIS functions including new hire entries, benefits processing, maintaining employee roster, entering leaves of absences, maintaining attendance database, and tracking performance reviews. • Manage and update payroll processes including Kronos, time off tracking, time cards, and payroll documentation. • Maintain FMLA and other medical leaves, review work restrictions, and handle ADA process per Lowe's guidelines. • Provide support and process all corrective actions, disciplinary functions, and terminations ensuring consistency and adherence to Lowe's policy. • Lead investigations and provide support to supervisors through the process. • Manage workers compensation claims including maintaining paperwork, leaves of absence, and return to work processes. • Ensure all training expectations are being met and continually monitor training compliance. • Manage monthly performance review process and ensure step pay increases are processed timely and accurately. • Involvement in building safety initiatives including Safety Committee and safety observations. • Other duties and projects as assigned by the HR Manager.

Requirements: Minimum of 3 years HR experience in a Generalist role. Must be knowledgeable in all federal and state employment laws and regulations. Must be able to manage time and prioritize work effectively. Must have excellent communication skills, including written and verbal. Must be able to work independently without direct supervision from HR Manager. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle access to sensitive information. Experience in distribution or manufacturing environment with a large employee base is preferred. Bachelors degree in Human Resources or other related field is preferred. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
