PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Primary duties will consist of the timely and efficient movement of trailers upon request of appliance, shipping, receiving, and visitor center following all rules concerning pulling, placement and securing of trailers. SAFETY will guide our operation. Drivers will be held responsible for their equipment including fueling, timely reporting of mechanical problems and maintaining the cleanliness of their truck. Drivers will also have a role in maintaining the cleanliness of our yard. Drivers will be asked to pick up trash in the lot during low volume periods and perform other duties consistent with the efficient operation of the DC. Drivers will cross train and support the visitor center personnel.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Ability to safely operate yard tractor is required (training provided.) Must be comfortable with backing and maneuvering trailers ranging in size from 28’ to 53’ Ability to work in high traffic/limited space environment, good communication skills, must be able to interact effectively with Visitor Center personnel, other drivers on the yard, appliance, receiving and shipping coaches and teammates. Driver will become familiar with computerized yard management system. Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and safety conscience. Ability to operate in all types of conditions and weather is important. Ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to work in other areas of the building or on special projects during low volume times. Prior yard truck experience is preferred.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Basic math and reading comprehension • Demonstrated adherence to safety requirements • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs • Demonstrated track record of good attendance • Approaches change optimistically; adapts quickly and maintains proficiency in changing work environments • Communicates and listens effectively • Can perform detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced working environment • Able to read and follow instructions and take directions from others • Ability to work independently as well as with a team • Effectively prioritizes work and possesses time management skills • Highly motivated to Operation’s success; goal-oriented • Able to use spatial reasoning to position product effectively • Ability to learn new tasks and quickly apply new skill

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or GED equivalent • Familiarity with distribution center operations; previous warehouse experience • Previous power equipment experience (e.g. forklift, reach truck, yard truck) • Basic computer skills
