The University Relations Associate Recruiter will be responsible for partnering with management to source high-potential student talent for full-time roles and our formal internship program at Lowe’s Companies, Inc. This role will own the life cycle of seasonal campus recruitment, including attending school career fairs, pre-nights and information sessions, and working with designated campus recruitment teams to conduct on-campus interviews. The Recruiter will also be responsible for proactive talent identification and engagement with students groups and leaders, with a particular focus on organizations committed to diversity in the entry-level work-face. The primary focus will be undergraduate talent, specifically in the realms of operations, analytics, finance/accounting, engineering, information technology, and supply chain.

The opportunity may also arise to engage other lines of business, with functional areas shifting with the needs of the business. There will also be engagement with MBA student populations. This role will partner directly with the University Relations Manager and peer campus recruiters to implement and execute recruitment strategies that are in alignment with industry best practices. Building working relationships directly with hiring managers, talent acquisitions specialist, and campus recruitment teams will be a priority. Ultimate success will take shape of providing excellent support to our internal clients, as well as building sold relationships with student talent to support our efforts of branding Lowe’s as an employer of choice.

Core Responsibilities:
- Attends campus career fairs, information sessions, and speaking engagements at organizations regarding the Company and its employment and formal program opportunities.
- Extends and negotiates offers of employment. Handles several aspects of the recruitment process including: job requisition design, sourcing, and screening.
- Reviews student applicants, resumes, and other credentials. Conducts phone screens and in person interviews. Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews. Provides timely follow up and correspondence.
- Oversees pre-employment checks, compliance, and on-boarding aspects of the recruitment process.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for hiring managers regarding recruiting and succession planning processes; advising hiring managers on job postings and the marketing of jobs.
- Ensuring that employees are hired and promoted following the CSC employment policy by evaluating candidate profiles and resumes.
- Substantial travel for campus events (and national diversity conferences where needed) as well as for applicable training and development.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1+ years of experience in Recruiting
- Ability to work independently in Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Willing to travel frequently (70%), including frequent overnight travel
- Strong understanding of technology and social media, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
- Demonstrated ability to build internal and external relationships

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of related experience
- Experience with campus specific sourcing methods a plus
- Event Management experience
- Demonstrated experience recruiting in a corporate environment
