As a Technical Architect in the Lowe’s Digital organization, you will be
responsible for setting technical direction, establishing development best
practices, and designing best in class digital solutions. We are
seeking an inspiring, technically brilliant, consumer product focused leader
who is passionate about building best in-class customer experiences as well as engineering
complex, secure and high-quality reliable software solutions.

The primary purpose of this role
is to lead development of specific technology solutions architectures requiring
the integration of multiple viewpoints including business, application, data,
and infrastructure across the enterprise. They are responsible for documenting
the current state of Lowe's solution architecture, collaborating with Domain
and/or Principal Architects to develop solution blueprints, assuring the
adoption of standards, and aligning to the desired target state. This role works as an integral part of
project teams and with business users to develop conceptual, logical, and
physical architectures required for business solution delivery. This includes responsibility for providing
critical decision support, guidance, and recommendations regarding design


creates, and reviews program and project architecture blueprints to frame
architecture project work and execution in collaboration with Domain Architects
and Sr. Technical Architects

project deliverables from project technical leads and IT teams to ensure they
meet specifications and standards

application and infrastructure development teams in the design and build of
complex solutions and ensures that teams are in alignment with the architecture
blueprint, standards, target state architecture, and strategies

the transition from high level design and supports the project lifecycle with
input from executive leadership where needed

Drives re-use
across programs and projects to drive efficiency

Defines and
enforces solution architecture standards, procedures, metrics, and policies to
ensure consistency and adherence to Lowe's processes

detailed architecture plans for large scale enterprise architecture projects
and drives the plans to fruition in collaboration with Domain Architects

conceptual, logical, and physical architectures consisting of one or more
viewpoints (business, application, data, and infrastructure) required for
business solution delivery

Drives the
adoption of new technologies by researching technical trends and developments

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

experience in open-source technologies, agile methodologies and reliability
based modern software engineering practices.

Ability to demonstrate a combination of a
highly-technical hands-on software architecture guidance and be an effective

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong
presentation skills.

Solid understanding of the retail industry and
expectations of an omni-channel company.

Ability to partner with other software architects to
drive, leverage, and reuse technical craftsmanship in the larger IT

Required Experience:

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or
related field

5 to 8+ experience in IT, including 5+ years of
experience in IT architecture

Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted
in lieu of degree

2+ experience working in a large matrixed organization

4+ experience architecting, designing, and implementing
enterprise-scale, high volume, high availability systems

2+ experience with modeling techniques (e.g., BPM, UML,

2+ experience working with Enterprise Architecture
frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or
related field

2+ experience in an IT role requiring interaction with
senior leadership

4+ experience leading technical teams with or without
direct reports

4+ experience with commercial off-the-shelf package

2+ experience working with third party IT vendors and/or
IT system solution providers

3+ experience in IT within the retail industry

3+ experience with front-end web experiences

3+ experience with microservice architecture

3+ experience with open source technologies
