Sr IT Support Analyst - AutoCAD

The primary purpose of this role is to use AutoCAD to updateLowe's facility drawings with the location of IT equipment, cabling drops, andsecurity cameras. This includes workingwith internal business and IT partners to understand how IT equipment should bedeployed within the environment.


• Use AutoCAD toupdate Lowe's facility drawings with the location of IT equipment, cablingdrops, and security cameras

• Update informationfor each Lowe's facility regarding cabling line run summaries (naming andtermination points of IT cables), and telecommunications equipment

• Maintain knowledgeand documentation of standard Lowe's facility IT layouts

• Meet with internalstore planning teams regarding fixture/desk changes that will affect ITlayouts, and equipment placement

• Provides first andsecond level support to resolve difficult, complex, and/or sensitive problemswith products and applications by meeting customer service standards (i.e.,displaying a positive attitude, actively listening, taking ownership,leveraging knowledge, communicating clearly)

• Serves as anescalation point and mentor for junior staff

• Analyzes andprioritizes incoming requests and alerts

• Researchesrecurring problems to identify root causes and collaborates with other IT andbusiness departments to prioritize develop, and implement solutions

• Performs trackingand documentation by entering details of problems, status of service requests,and resolutions into the company tracking system

• When necessary,performs the setup and maintenance of computer systems by installing and/orupgrading hardware and software as appropriate

• When necessary,performs preventative maintenance and break/fix repairs on technology (e.g.,PCs, thin clients, printers, servers, mobile devices, and hand held devices),including more complex devices (e.g., servers, network, telecommunicationsequipment)

• When necessary,interacts with third party hardware and/or software vendors by initiating andsupporting vendor services as necessary and validating repair activities ofexternal vendors to ensure quality meets contractual obligations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degreein Computer Science, CIS, or related field

• 4+ years of ITexperience in a support or operations environment working with PC orclient/server platforms and/or hardware; additional equivalent work experiencemay be substituted for the degree requirement

• 1+ years of AutoCADexperience in an IT, retail, or other environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years ofexperience leading technical or project teams with or without direct reports

• 2+ years of workexperience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior management

• 3+ years ofexperience working in a large matrixed organization

• 2+ years of Lowe'sOperations experience

• 3+ years-ofexperience working with third party IT vendors and/or software/hardwaresuppliers

• 3+ years of ITexperience in the retail industry

• 3+ years ofexperience writing technical documentation or standard operating proceduresrelated to IT technical support or deployment
