Job Summary:

The principle purpose of the Financial Analysis & Reporting team is to provide analyses and insights that identify the drivers of financial performance in order to drive appropriate tactical activity. The FP&A Sr. Financial Analyst – Merchandising role aligns directly to a Merchandising Business Area and will work closely with the Group Finance Officer (GFO) team, Merchandising and the Bangalore Center of Expertise (COE) to deliver insightful, proactive and timely financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Developing an unbiased, holistic view of the key drivers of business performance

• Collaborating with functional teams (Merchandising, Inventory, GFO, etc.)

• Creating actionable measures of success for strategies and tests

• Measuring test results and translating into recommendations

• Assessing the impact of pricing and promotional activities

• Evaluating incremental investment opportunities (inventory, capex, expense)

• Proactively identifying insights to drive better business decisions

• Preparing analysis and materials for executive meetings


To accomplish this, the Sr. Financial Analyst must have solid knowledge of finance and business analytics. This individual will collaborate with Finance peers to ensure best practices and insights are understood and incorporated into work products. Additionally, the Sr. Financial Analyst must be able to work effectively within a matrixed organization and demonstrate the ability to influence and interact with various levels of the organization.


Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Quantitative or related field

• 4+ years’ experience in finance or analytical role

• Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally

• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)


Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field (e.g. MBA, MS Finance)

• Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. MicroStrategy, TM1, Hyperion/Essbase, Business Objects, Cognos, Teradata, Alteryx, SQL)

• Experience with business analysis tools (e.g. APT, Tableau, Qlikview, Spotfire, Crystal Ball)

• 1+ year of experience with financial forecasting or analytic modeling

• Retail Industry and/or FP&A experience
