The Senior Accountant, US Financial Reporting team, is primarily responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial results. Primary activities include: preparing and recording of monthly journal entries to facilitate the close process; preparing analysis for management review; preparing general ledger account reconciliations; as well as special projects. This role will be responsible for multiple significant financial accounting areas, including corporate investments and the Company’s self-insured employee insurance plans. The role also will perform significant work responsibilities related to internal financial reporting, including the Company’s income statement projections process and analysis of the Company’s balance sheet. The role will also include forecasting responsibilities and will be responsible for preparing inputs to the Company’s statement of cash flows.

To accomplish this, the Senior Accountant must have a good working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), an intermediate knowledge of common business financial practices, and be highly proficient in a fast-paced, deadline-driven corporate accounting environment.

The Senior Accountant is also required to successfully collaborate with other areas inside and outside the Finance organization (including External Reporting, FP&A, Treasury, Human Resources, and subsidiaries).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Strong computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• 3+ years of experience required with financial reporting and monthly close processes, or an equivalent audit role with exposure to these areas

• Experience in public accounting or a large corporate accounting environment
• Experience with PeopleSoft or another ERP system
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFM)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team to accomplish necessary tasks
