The purpose of this role is to provide the organization with rapid, effective, and efficient operational analytics that drive optimized omni-functional decision-making to deliver measurable cost efficiencies. This role will consult with the business to identify key areas of opportunity for expense optimization within the company's largest expense lines (staffing, digital, supply chain, loss prevention, pricing, sourcing) to deliver actionable, data-driven recommendations. This includes identification of full value stream optimization across multiple functions that drive efficiencies and speed to market. This role provides strategic leadership in consulting with the business and to lead project-based teams to translate operational business needs into analytic design, execution, and analytic outcomes that can be implemented. 


Analyzes data across a number of verticals, including marketing / market research, enterprise and Lowe's functions. Helps build a competitive advantage by providing accurate and timely information based on big data that is used to improve decision making, identify inefficient business processes, drive cost savings and identify new business opportunities. Works closely with and provides insight to Lowe's business leaders by providing predictive analysis, data visualization, contextual visualization and insights. Analyzes customer and consumer behavior data, which will inform the business on trends across all consumer markets. Builds a competitive advantage by providing accurate and timely information based on consumer data that is used identify new business opportunities, new products, and new strategies. Includes technical marketing positions that direct marketing strategy on product positioning, market penetration and pricing. 


Key Responsibilities:


Translates the operational challenges of the business into project plans for analytical design and execution that drives measurable outcomes


Establishes the measurable outcomes and experimentation that is used to evaluate the effectiveness of post-test decision-making and its impact on business


Designs and implements analytical methods and modeling used in understanding and predicting operational enhancements and improving speed-to-market


Uses advanced knowledge of optimization, graph/network analytics, forecasting, simulation, demand analytics, and other predictive modeling techniques


Provides strategic recommendations and sets targets with senior leadership for measurable savings and efficiencies


Design, coaches, and mentors project-based teams and cross-functional teams on advanced data analytics and concepts (3-5 indirect reports on a regular basis to execute project-based work with the business- leveraging a consulting model)


Scopes and manages the analytical design, milestones, resources (people & technology), and timelines of operational analytics projects

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Information Sciences, Econometrics, Operations Research, or another Applied quantitative field.

10 years experience in an applied analytical role in areas such as Operations Research, Supply Chain, Pricing, Digital Optimization, and Loss Prevention Analytics. Targeted industries are Retail, Manufacturing, and Technology.

Or

Master's Degree, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Information Sciences, Econometrics, Operations Research, or another Applied quantitative field.

8 years experience in an applied analytical role in areas such as Operations Research, Supply Chain, Pricing, Digital Optimization, and Loss Prevention Analytics. Targeted industries are Retail, Manufacturing, and Technology.
