The principle purpose of the Manager, Infrastructure Engineering is to provide insight and recommendations to inform long-term IT infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture across multiple systems. This individual will also manage and own the technical direction for the development and modification of infrastructure solutions within various computing environments.

The Technical Manager will have experience with EUC (End User Computing - image certification, driver certifications, etc..), Mobility (MDM, end user devices, handhelds, IOS, android, etc…) and Citrix.


• Responsible for the coordination of and planning for the organization's information technology architecture

• Provides input on the long-term strategy for IT infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture across the enterprise systems by assessing the implications of IT business strategies on infrastructure capabilities

• Interfaces with senior leaders on assigned business and technology-related issues to understand short and long-term business needs

• Builds and maintains partnerships with IT business leaders to ensure technology solutions support integrated business strategies

• Oversees technical teams in the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into technical requirements that support integrated and sustainable designs for infrastructure systems across multiple technical domains or platforms

• Partners with various IT Teams throughout system development and implementation to ensure system designs adhere to company standards; provides insight and guidance, and recommendations to resolve escalated issues throughout the development of hardware and software configurations and throughout the preparation of system components for installation to the infrastructure

• Executes and oversees all systems integration testing (SIT), component integration testing (CIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) for assigned systems by reviewing the progress of testing efforts

• Assists in directing the implementation and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure systems for their assigned domain(s) and/or platform(s) to ensure successful deployment and operation of new or upgraded systems

• Ensures adherences to company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls throughout all system development life cycle phases; estimates resources needed for technical design and testing efforts; oversees system support plans, schedules, assignments, and budgets; manages relationships with vendor partners

• Conducts analyses on the effectiveness of the infrastructure and makes recommendations for the adoption of new procedures



Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS, or related field

8+ years of IT experience, including at least 3+ years in infrastructure engineering as a lead, technical process management, project management, IT consulting, or related field

4+ years of leadership role with or without direct reports

1+ years of infrastructure engineering experience working across multiple domains, platforms, or specialty areas


Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS, Engineering or related field

4+ years of experience leading technical or project teams with or without direct reports

3+ years of experience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior leadership;

Experience writing technical documentation in an infrastructure development environment

2+ years of supervisory experience;

Leadership role of a large matrixed organization;

Experience managing operational and/or project financial budgets;

Experience working with third party IT vendor and/or systems solution provider leadership;

IT Management experience in the retail industry
