Lead Analyst - International & Emerging Business

The primary purpose of this role is to partner with complex and highly visible areas of the business and/or work in support of initiatives aligned with the strategy and focus areas of our international and emerging business units. This is accomplished by cross-functional collaboration to convert complex business plans into quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long range plans; develop business cases; and provide proactive analysis, insights, data support, and recommendations to optimize business performance.

The Lead Analyst is responsible for acting as a subject matter expert and thought leader on their respective team. To accomplish this, the Lead Analyst must have solid knowledge of finance and/or business analytics. This individual will collaborate with their finance peers to ensure that insights from functional areas and business units are understood and incorporated into work products. Thus, demonstrating a level of project management skills which will effectively lead an effort through to completion. Additionally, this individual must be able to work effectively within a matrixed organization, demonstrate self-leadership skills, and possess the ability to influence and interact with various levels of the organization.

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and thought leader on respective team
• Facilitates the financial forecasting and planning processes with finance functional partners that result in quarterly forecast updates, annual plans, and long range plans (2 years)
• Leads the evaluation and collection of data across our international and emerging businesses which enables analysis and insights to be appropriately generated
• Leads the collaboration across the international and emerging business units to provide root cause analysis; develop actionable analysis, insights and recommendations based on financial and non-financial data leveraging multiple data sources, with business and finance functional partners
• Communicates financial and non-financial analysis and insights to business and finance functional leaders
• Develops business cases for key initiatives and major programs by creating robust financial models, tied to a program’s (or initiative’s) strategic narrative; identifying risks to the organization and engaging the business owner in risk mitigation and trade-off conversations; identifying and measuring key trigger points (metrics) that will provide business insight into an initiative’s success (leading and final indicators)
• Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date expertise in subject area; leveraging an understanding of policies, data, and resources to support projects or initiatives; collaborating cross-functionally to solve business problems; identifying, recommending, and implementing ways to address improvement opportunities
• Demonstrates self-leadership; builds relationships with key individuals necessary for collaboration; ability to negotiate and influence effectively for the organization with internal and external stakeholders at various leadership levels

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field AND 6+years of experience in finance or analytical role in a public company or accounting
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• 1+ years of experience with financial forecasting or analytic modeling
• Experience in structuring and writing formal documents, developing and delivering group presentations, project planning, and/or cross-functional collaboration
• Previous experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Corporate Accounting
• 25% or less international and US travel (as needed based on efforts)

• Master's Degree OR MBA
• Experience leading people directly or indirectly
