****** This is an overnight shift position with the following hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM *****



PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The primary purpose of this role is to monitor and manage the stability, availability, and performance of and provide first-level support for enterprise systems and systems in one or more additional IT domains (e.g., systems, networks, databases, storage, security). This includes responsibility for assisting in the implementation of hardware and software changes and the maintenance and improvement of monitoring, management, and infrastructure of enterprise systems and systems in one or more additional IT domains. The Systems Administrator II documents and communicates relevant performance and procedural information for multiple enterprise systems.


RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS

• Monitors and manages the stability, availability, and performance of enterprise systems and systems in one or more additional IT domains (e.g., systems, network, databases, storage, security) by analyzing systems to identify problems, trends, and opportunities for improvement

• Escalates identified risks to lead administrators

• Manages accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment

• Provides first level support for enterprise systems and systems in one or more additional IT domains by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents to minimize non-routine system downtime

• Communicates updates and timelines regarding the delivery of appropriate, sustainable, and prompt solutions to senior IT personnel and management as appropriate

• Assists in the implementation of hardware and software changes into environments and one or more additional IT production environment by assisting in the performance of impact analyses of system changes

• Supports the maintenance and improvement of monitoring, management, and infrastructure of enterprise systems and systems in one or more additional IT domains by collaborating with engineering teams to eval


REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree IN Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of IT experience

Bachelor's Degree and Completion of Lowe’s IT College Talent Program


PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

ITIL Certification

2+ years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework

3+ years of experience providing first level support for enterprise IT systems in a corporate setting, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents

3+ years of experience in software installation and support

3+ years of experience working with defect or incident tracking software

2+ years of experience writing IT technical documentation
