IT Software Asset Management Sr Analyst

The primary purpose of this role is to guide and support Software Asset Management process implementation and process improvement efforts for designated initiatives. This role is also responsible for executing and maintaining designated processes and monitoring and supporting Software Asset Management process performance and user compliance. The primary focus of this role will be the implementation of the Technology Business Management tool and practice.

  • Guides and supports Software Asset Management process
  • Overseeing the Data Key Management process and managing renewals for both software and hardware.
  • Role will be responsible for keying in that process.
  • Initiates and leads defined Software Asset Management work activities
  • Partners with Application Owners to ensure software and hardware needs are met
  • Develops and delivers user training sessions and associated materials (e.g., training guides, user manuals) to support change adoption
  • Provides coaching and roll-out support to users throughout the implementation process
  • Guides and supports Software Asset Management process improvement efforts by cultivating strong collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams on process improvement projects
  • Participates in the development, definition, documentation, maintenance, and audit of Software Asset Management processes and procedures
  • Monitors and supports Software Asset Management performance and software compliance by facilitating meetings with stakeholders and management to gather input and feedback on process performance
  • Collaborates with IT and Business functions on a daily basis to support software asset management activities

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 4+ Experience in information technology including 2+ years supporting Software Asset Management processes

  • Experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports
  • Experience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior management and external vendors
  • Experience working in a large matrixed organization
  • Experience in the configuration of Software Asset Management tool(s)
  • Experience working within an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Experience working with process modeling software (e.g., Visio)
  • Experience developing and delivering IT process metrics and reporting
  • Experience developing and delivering Software Asset Management process training
  • Lowe's Operations experience
  • Experience working with third party IT vendors and/or software/hardware suppliers
  • Experience writing technical documentation or standard operating procedures related to IT technical support or deployment
  • Experience with Technology Financial fundamentals (ie capital vs expense, plan vs actuals, etc.)
  • Expertise is sourcing or licensing.
