Storage Engineer II
Essential Functions :
•The primary responsible of this role is to implementation of the storage architecture strategy within Lowe’s. The Storage Engineer II leads projects and collaborates with Storage Engineer III for direction involving the planning, design and installation.
•The knowledge and expertise required at this level of work results from progressive work experience in large enterprise or retail environments.
•This is a hands-on technical role in which you'll be assisting in the engineering & integration of leading-edge technologies.
•This role will collaborate with other engineering teams across a wide range of technology areas, and the operational teams that manage the services that are engineered.
•This role will participate in and drive the gathering of technical requirements to successfully implement solutions.
•This role mentors junior engineers and administrators.
•This role will contribute to and promote new ideas, strategies, technologies and concepts to improve service quality and reduce costs.
•This role will provide domain-specific expertise to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
•The position also involves participation in developing long-term strategic, capacity and performance planning objectives and goals.
•This role will take part in storage infrastructure audit activities and provides evidence as required.
•This role will participate in 24/7 level 3 support
•Multi-vendor Storage Array experience
•Storage Area Networks (SAN)
•Multi-vendor Network Attached Storage (NAS) technologies
•Troubleshooting complex Storage & SAN environments
Working knowledge of the following:
•Scripting to automate manual functions
