Job Summary:
The principle purpose of the Finance Manager is to partner with business leaders (US Home Improvement, Central Dispatch Office, Allied Businesses, and Shared Services) to drive value creation through financial and business leadership from strategy development through execution. This includes leveraging the Financial Centers of Expertise to provide financial insights to aid in decision making, identification of financial risks and opportunities, and analysis of performance drivers.

The Finance Manager will also have primary responsibility for partnering with senior leadership (SVPs & VPs) in the business functional areas to provide financial insights, recommendations, and best practices to help the company make effective resource allocation decisions. Proactively researches issues as identified, report findings, suggest alternative courses of action, and constantly look for process improvements.

This position is responsible for guiding the business units through the financial planning and forecasting processes. In addition, this position will be responsible for coordinating with other areas of Finance to ensure projected financial outcomes resulting from business plans are properly planned and forecasted.

In addition, the Finance Manager may manage a team of financial analysts who will provide functional support to business units ensuring financial best practices are implemented and followed, reported and analyzed to identify insights for decision making.

The Finance Manager will also work cross-functionally, primarily collaborating with other finance and analytical functions (Corporate Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Enterprise Analytics and Customer Insights etc.) when specialized knowledge and skills are required in the business decision process.

Additionally, the Finance Manager may lead the business through the Business Modeling Framework from Strategic Assessment through Commercialization, leveraging other functions to provide input into the process.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a financial position in which analytical skills were regularly used to interpret financial information and draw conclusions, provide financial insight into business issues and provide actionable recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams and collaborating with cross functional teamsDemonstrated experience working closely with senior leadership (VP and above)
• Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task on several projects simultaneously and self-manage activities.
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to resolve issues.
• Effective presentation skills with the ability to make presentations to diverse types of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA and / or CPA are strongly preferred.
• Experience in ERP and General Ledger Systems such as PeopleSoft.
• OLAP Databases such as TM1 or Essebase.
• MicroStrategy or similar data warehouse applications.
• Proficiency in use of mathematical, statistical, and analytical tools to model and analyze large quantities of data from business to understand problems and define solutions.
