The primary purpose of the Director of Culture is to lead the team to develop and implement innovative, strategic solutions that enhance Lowe's global culture. These solutions should promote engagement and loyalty among hourly, seasonal and salaried associates in the stores, distribution centers and corporate organizations. Develop clear measures of success that are tracked and well communicated to promote alignment across the company. Partner across various organizations like (Strategy, Store Operations, HR, Marketing, Communications, Community engagement, etc.) to ensure solutions are aligned, scalable and fully integrated into how we do business to ensure long-term success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops and executes to innovative strategies that support Lowe's overall and HR business objectives for both the near and long-term.
  • Develops an integrated plan to ensure the insights from the 2017 cultural audit are advanced through business practices, leadership messaging and actions.

  • Incorporate measures of success into the 'Associate Listening System' solution.
  • In collaboration with the Diversity & Inclusion team, develops and delivers a global associate engagement solution(s) that is inclusive of both salaried and hourly associates.
  • Advances current 'Associate Opinion Survey' to a simple yet effective solution, that provides external & internal bench-marking; enables business ownership, provides effective reporting and has the appropriate measures to track our progress around culture.
  • Establishes a cutting edge Associate Research solution that enables Lowe's to understand the most impactful market trends that would impact our culture; provides a forward thinking views; conducts meaningful associate analysis.
  • Develops professional and effective executive-level presentations.
  • Serves as an advisor and develops tools to enable the Associates to develop the capability to engage with highly diverse customers, peers, communities and vendors.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 6 - 8 years of leadership experience with the capability to build global solutions across a multi-variant workforce.
  • 3+ years of experience with leading a (potentially) global team with an emphasis on development, accountability and execution.
  • Keen knowledge of global cultural nuances, market trends and key indicators that impact and advance culture.
  • Skilled in influencing and collaborating with all levels within the organization.
