Internship Program Overview
Lowe's 2019 Summer Internship Program offers challenging assignments to undergraduate and graduate students, enhancing their understanding of the retail business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a FORTUNE 50 company. The summer internship program begins with orientation in late May and concludes in early-August. All internships are paid and housing is available for those that qualify. This role has potential for conversion into a full-time position for those that successfully complete the internship and upon candidate's graduation.

The internship will consist of a project-based assignment to broaden learning, experience, organizational knowledge, and business acumen. We are looking for people driven by potential. Education and/or Experience
•Pursuing a MBA, with a concentration in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Data Science or Merchandising with expected graduation date of December 2019 or May 2020
•Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required
•Proficient in MSOffice Programs (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

•Strong collaborative, innovative, problem solving, analytical, and communication skills are required
•Relevant internship and experience with data analytics or retail or is a plus, as is experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization

Potential Areas of Learning
Pricing Strategy and Execution - This positon will be responsible for developing and executing Lowe's Omni-channel pricing strategy. The scope of work will consist of identifying competitive gaps in the realm of in-store pricing vs. digital pricing, analyzing functional capabilities, and providing a recommendation for implementing a solution - based on financial benefit and value delivered to our customers.

•Promotional Planning and Execution - This position will be responsible for developing and executing merchandise division promotional strategies, in partnership with the Promotional Planning, Merchandising and Marketing teams. These promotional strategies will ensure Lowe's is competitive in the marketplace, relevant to our customer base, and goes to market with promotions that position the company to profitably win market share. The internship will provide a holistic experience within both the planning and execution of promotional planning - including the industry, customer, competitor and financial analytics components of bringing a successful promotion to market.
