Participates in process improvement projects by executing a defined scope of work within a project for a shorter duration. Understands current state operations and assists in identifying opportunities for future improvement. Identifies process improvement opportunities within a defined strategic program (i.e. continuous improvement initiatives or project specific) through process facilitation and design sessions. Applies various process improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques to effectively execute a scope of work within a project. Leads process design sessions with key stakeholders by applying knowledge of business process analysis and modeling to identify current gaps, future state, and process improvement solutions. Communicates results of process design sessions to the larger team to assess next steps and opportunities for process improvement. Assist and coordinates the process of setting standards and key performance indicators for each program or process improvement project with business managers and architects. Manages relationships with business partners to help them understand business cases and to foster a culture of continuous improvement across the enterprise.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Design and optimize logistics processes, hardware and UX related to store inventory management (receiving, put away, shelf replenishment, picking, packing, shipping). Reduce time and complexity for store associates while improving task effectiveness.Partner with UX team and Product Managers to develop UI, process and hardware requirements to achieve product goals. Partner with Content Strategist and Learning and Development to create SOPs for a variety of store associate processes. Perform Gap Analysis: Identify current state processes, target pain points and frustration and opportunities for improvement Create and manages Lean / Six Sigma product/process testing or equivalent

  • Design process improvement testing testing (Six Sigma projects)
  • Implement test and recommend improvements based on test results
  • Communicate Lean progress

Compile data on standardization and implement the warehouse KPIs to support product/business KPIsParticipate in Process Engineering Kaizen events across companyBenchmark and stay up to date on warehousing technology and process updates

REQUIRED

Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent experience (data-driven user experience or process design) 3+ years of related experience (warehousing or retail process research/design) Strong experience in solving problems, including root cause identification and decision making experience and validation of problem/solution through metrics

PREFERRED

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

3+ years of related experience in retail store operations engineering

Strong experience in solving problems, including root cause identification and decision making experience and validation of problem/solution through metrics

3+ years of related experience in retail store operations engineering

BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or BA in Service Design, Human Factors, Product Design
