Assistant Mgr Global Security

The primary purpose of this role is to supervise and direct all facets of Security and Life Safety at the Mooresville Customer Support Center (CSC-M), This includes responsibility for supervising contract security officers and supervisors at the Mooresville location. This role is critical to maintaining the security and safety of employees and facilities at the Mooresville location.

Responsibilities:
• Supervises contract security force totaling approximately 18 security officers and 2 contract security supervisors at the Mooresville site
• Conducts initial investigation involving criminal activity, accidents and acts of misconduct at corporate facilities and reports findings to CSM, Loss Prevention and local law enforcement as required
• Serves as a member of the Threat Assessment Team responsible for conducting the initial investigation of threats occurring at CSC-M and reporting these findings to HR/Legal via a Threat Assessment Report (TAR)
• Maintains an excellent working relationship with the Fire/Police/ and EMS agencies servicing CSC-M
• Manages the administration and execution of the Fire Evacuation plan at CSC-M, to include conducting semi-annual fire drills and the coordination and training of the Emergency Reps (E-Reps) assigned to the individual areas inside corporate facilities
• Assists the Corporate Security Manager with the administration of the badge access system (Facility Commander), to include making employee/contractor badges at CSC-M and preparing badge reports for Lowe’s Audit Department to ensure compliance with SOX requirements
• Coordinates security related assistance with Lowe’s departments hosting special events and large groups of visitors to CSC-M
• Ensures that Security/Safety information is effectively disseminated to Lowe’s employees/contractors assigned to CSC-M via hand- outs, LowesNet, new employee/contractor orientation and lunch and learns
• Implements protective measures to ensure a high level of executive protection

Required Education and Experience:
• Associate's Degree or Relevant Experience
• 10+ Years of Experience in either law enforcement, military and/or security field with at least 5 years of supervisory experience
• Demonstrated knowledge in crisis management and related emergency response for incidents that could impact a business campus environment such as Lowe’s corporate facilities
• Demonstrated knowledge of the most up-to-date security and life safety systems to include but not limited to: CCTV & DVR systems; fire and burglar systems; building access device systems. Demonstrated knowledge of North Carolina criminal laws and local ordinances relating to respective Lowe’s corporate facilities
• Demonstrated knowledge of contract security requirements and business practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of various computer programs including Facility Commander, Network Client, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word
• CPR Certification

Preferred Qualifications:
• 12-15 years of Combined experience in either law enforcement and/or security field with at least 7 Combined experience in either law enforcement and/or security field with at least 7 years of supervisory experience
• Verifiable experience supervising a security guard force in conjunction with overseeing all security related matters for a corporate campus
• ASIS International certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and or Physical Security Professional (PSP)
